Nikko Toshogu Shrine is located in Yamauchi, Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture, and is the head shrine of Toshogu Shrine, and the main worship god is Toshogu Daidenken (Tokugawa Ieyasu), the Toshogu Shrine dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu, the first shogun of the Edo ShogunateIt is rich in historical monuments. The buildings of Toshogu Shrine are exquisitely carved and splendid, and they are located in the mountains of Nikko, built against the mountains, and are full of momentum. Among them, the Japanese-style Meiyangmon Gate and the Chinese-style Karamon Gate are representative buildings. One of Japan's 100 Best Roads, the Iroha Mountain Road is a 15.8-kilometer stretch with a total of 48 curves in the up/down route from Nikko City to Lake Chuzenji and Oku-Nikko. Due to the different heights of the mountainous area, you can enjoy the various colors of autumn leaves, which makes you feel open and breathtaking. You can also see Kegon Waterfall and Lake Chuzenji from the Akechidaira Ropeway.

Akechidaira Observatory is the most popular observatory in the Nikko area, with views of Lake Chuzenji and Kegon Falls at the same time. From the east side of the observatory, you can see the screen rock, which is made up of continuous cliffs, and the rolling mountains in the distance. It takes only 3 minutes to take the ropeway from Akechidaira to the observatory located at an altitude of 1,373 meters.

Kegon Falls - one of the three most famous waterfalls in Japan and a famous tourist destination. The water of Lake Chuzenji forms the Ojiri River at the eastern end, cross-cutting Mt. Nantai, and flows down from a height of 700 meters to form the main part of the waterfall, which is 99 meters high. The upper rock protrudes forward, and 12 small waterfalls flow out of the rock crevices.
