Nara Park (Approx. 60 minutes, free time)
Nara Park is famous for its friendly free-roaming deer and beautiful seasonal scenery. In autumn, vivid maple leaves create a striking contrast with the evergreen trees, making the park especially picturesque.
Located at the foot of Mt. Wakakusa, Nara Park is home to major landmarks such as Todaiji Temple and Kasuga Taisha Shrine, making it a must-visit destination in Nara. Mt. Wakakusa nearby offers excellent panoramic views of the city and hosts traditional events such as the Wakakusa Yamayaki festival each January.
Stroll through the park at a relaxed pace and enjoy feeding the adorable deer—one of the highlights of any visit to Nara. Please note that deer may approach in groups when they see deer crackers.
-
Complimentary deer crackers:
1 pack per group (2 packs per group for groups of 4–6).
No refund will be provided if deer crackers are sold out.

Arashiyama Area (Approx. 3 hours, free time)
The Arashiyama area consists of Arashiyama and Sagano, offering a rich mix of cultural landmarks, natural scenery, and traditional charm. Highlights include historic temples and shrines, seasonal landscapes, and the famous Sagano Scenic Railway.
Tenryu-ji Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is also located here.
The Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, stretching between Nonomiya Shrine and Okochi Sanso Villa, is one of Kyoto’s most iconic walking paths. Arashiyama is especially popular during cherry blossom and autumn foliage seasons, while summer and winter offer a quieter, more serene atmosphere.
