07:10 – Osaka | Tour Departure

Meeting Point: 07:10 at Nippombashi Exit 2 (Namba–Shinsaibashi area)

Please arrive at the meeting point at least 10 minutes in advance. Late arrivals cannot be accommodated.

09:10 – Maizuru

Nishi-Maizuru Station → Amanohashidate | Tango Sea Train Experience
(Approx. 70 minutes including ticketing and waiting time; train ride approx. 44 minutes)

Take the Tango Sea Train (Train No. 223D) from Nishi-Maizuru Station to Amanohashidate Station
(Departure 09:44 → Arrival 10:28).

This is a regular local train with non-reserved seating. During busy periods, standing for a short time may be required, offering different angles to enjoy the scenery.

The train follows the coastline, passing the tranquil Yura Coast and the untouched natural landscapes of northern Kyoto’s Tango region, connecting the historic towns of Maizuru and Miyazu.

When crossing the Yuragawa Bridge, known as the “railway over the sea,” the view resembles scenes from the Studio Ghibli film Spirited Away, where sea and sky blend seamlessly—creating a magical, dreamlike experience.

10:30 – Amanohashidate

Amanohashidate Sightseeing Area
(Approx. 2 hours, free time; cable car & sightseeing boat included or excluded depending on selected package)

Located in Miyazu Bay on the Sea of Japan, Amanohashidate is celebrated as one of the Three Scenic Views of Japan, alongside Matsushima and Miyajima.

This natural sandbar stretches approximately 3.6 km, formed by coastal sediment, and is lined with around 8,000 pine trees. White sandy beaches lie on both sides, and its shape resembles a bridge reaching toward the sky—hence the name “Bridge to Heaven.”

Amanohashidate View Land (Cable Car Required)

Located on Mt. Monju, this viewpoint offers panoramic views of Amanohashidate.
The famous “Flying Dragon View” is enjoyed by looking through one’s legs, where the sandbar appears like a dragon soaring into the sky.

Highlights include:

  • Seven dedicated viewing platforms

  • The Flying Dragon Corridor (approx. 250 m long, 8.5 m high) with 360° views of Miyazu Bay

  • Family-friendly attractions such as mini cars, carousel, Ferris wheel, sky bicycles, archery, retro shooting games, and the popular “Lucky Clay Disc Throw”

Chion-ji Temple (Monju-do Hall)

Located at the southern entrance of Amanohashidate, Chion-ji Temple is dedicated to Monju Bosatsu, the deity of wisdom and learning.

Founded in the 9th century, the temple’s Tahoto Pagoda (built in 1501) is the oldest wooden structure in Miyazu City and a National Important Cultural Property.
The temple is also known for its fan-shaped omikuji (fortune slips) and the local sweet “Chie no Mochi”, said to bring wisdom.

Chienowa Lantern

A historic stone lantern beside Chion-ji Temple, dating back to 1726.
Local tradition says that passing through the “Wheel of Wisdom” three times brings intelligence and good fortune.

Rotating Bridge

A unique pedestrian bridge that rotates 90 degrees to allow boats to pass. Operation times vary.

Amanohashidate Beach (Summer Only)

Both sides of the sandbar feature fine white sand and clear water. In summer, the beach opens for swimming with changing rooms, lifeguards, and coin-operated showers. Pine trees provide natural shade.

13:20 – Ine

Ine Boathouses – “The Venice of Japan” & Kyoto’s Last Hidden Coastal Gem
(Approx. 2 hours, free time)

Ine Village is a member of The Most Beautiful Villages in Japan association and is famous for its unique funaya (boathouse) architecture.

Around 230 traditional boathouses line the coast of Ine Bay over approximately 5 km. Many residents still live here today, maintaining a close relationship with the sea.
The combination of crystal-clear water, deep green mountains, changing skies, and the iconic boathouses creates a natural palette found only in Ine.

Recommended Spots:

  • Funaya Observatory – A scenic viewpoint overlooking Ine Bay; filming location for NHK dramas

  • INE CAFE / Funaya Hiyori – Enjoy coffee while admiring the calm bay; a popular photo spot

  • Ineura Park – Great location for photographing the boathouses from the front

Optional Ine Bay Sightseeing Boat

(Only included if ticket package is selected; otherwise at own expense)

  • Approx. 25-minute cruise around Ine Bay

  • Feed seagulls and enjoy views from the upper deck

  • Reference fares:

    • Adult: JPY 1,200

    • Child (6–12): JPY 600

    • Seagull feed: JPY 100 per pack

  • Boats depart every hour and half-hour

  • In case of rough seas, the cruise will be replaced with free exploration
