6. Children policy
– Infants aged 0–2 may sit on an adult’s lap and travel free of charge (must be informed in advance).

This is a day tour and luggage is not recommended.

Luggage not pre-declared, or more than one piece per person, will incur an additional fee of JPY 2,000 per extra piece, subject to vehicle space availability.

If undeclared luggage or undeclared infants (under 3 years old not occupying a seat) results in insufficient vehicle capacity, the driver/guide reserves the right to refuse boarding, and no refund will be provided.

Choose from two recommended walking routes:
Route 1 (Beginner Friendly)
Taisho Pond Bus Stop → Taisho Pond → Tashiro Pond → Kappa Bridge → Kamikochi Bus Terminal
Recommended for first-time visitors.
This route covers Kamikochi’s main highlights without needing to walk back the same way.
Distance: approx. 3.5 km
Walking time: approx. 1–1.5 hours
The trail is flat and easy, making it perfect for beginners while enjoying spectacular mountain scenery along the way.
Route 2 (Advanced / More Scenic)
Kamikochi Bus Terminal → Kappa Bridge → Myojin Bridge → Hotaka Shrine Okumiya & Myojin Pond → Dakesawa Marsh → Kamikochi Bus Terminal
Recommended for experienced walkers with more time.
Walk along the beautiful Azusa River toward Myojin Bridge.
Round-trip distance: approx. 5.6 km
Walking time: approx. 2–2.5 hours
Compared to the busy Kappa Bridge area, Myojin offers a quieter and more peaceful atmosphere.
Kamikochi Highlights
Kamikochi – “Japan’s Jiuzhaigou”
Located in western Nagano Prefecture, Kamikochi is one of Japan’s most famous alpine resorts and hiking destinations.
At approximately 1,500 meters above sea level, Kamikochi is part of Chubu Sangaku National Park and is designated as both a Special Place of Scenic Beauty and a Special Natural Monument of Japan.
It is also a popular base for climbing Mount Hotaka and Mount Yari.
Taisho Pond
A volcanic pond formed by the eruption of Mount Yakedake.
The iconic standing dead trees in the pond create magical scenery that changes with the seasons.
Tashiro Pond
A shallow wetland famous for:
- Fresh greenery in May
- Golden autumn leaves in October
- Thin ice in late autumn
Kappa Bridge
The symbolic landmark of Kamikochi.
Only a 5-minute walk from the bus terminal, Kappa Bridge offers panoramic views of:
- Hotaka Mountain Range
- Mount Yakedake
- Azusa River
This is Kamikochi’s most photographed spot.
Myojin Pond
Approximately 60 minutes on foot from Kappa Bridge.
A sacred area belonging to Hotaka Shrine Okumiya, surrounded by untouched nature, wild plants, and birds.
The scenery of Mount Myojin viewed from Myojin Bridge is especially popular among photographers.
Hotaka Mountain Range
Visible from various locations throughout Kamikochi.
Mount Okuhotaka is Japan’s third-highest mountain and one of Japan’s “100 Famous Mountains.”
Mount Yakedake
An active volcano in the Northern Alps, elevation 2,455 meters.
Its smoking peak against the blue sky is one of Kamikochi’s unique landscapes.
Hotaka Shrine Okumiya
Visit the grand torii gate of Hotaka Shrine’s inner sanctuary.
Limited-edition shrine charms are available at the shrine office.
Nearby is Kamonji Goya, a historic mountain hut established in 1880, where visitors can enjoy grilled river fish beside a traditional Japanese irori hearth.
Return Journey

Once the order is confirmed, the date cannot be changed. Any losses incurred as a result must be borne by the participant.

Please provide complete information at the time of booking (full name, number of participants, phone number, WeChat ID, and pick-up location) to avoid errors that may affect the itinerary.

During the trip, please keep your passport and valuables with you at all times. Any loss, theft, or damage shall be borne by the participant.

Elderly participants, those with high blood pressure, heart disease, or other cardiovascular conditions, and pregnant women are advised to participate with a family member.

This tour does not accept unaccompanied participants under the age of 18. Minors must be accompanied by a guardian when booking.

This is a shared fixed itinerary. Participants are required to follow the scheduled stop durations at each attraction and comply with the guide/driver’s arrangements. For more flexible itineraries, please refer to our private charter tour services.

No refunds will be provided for non-participation, early departure, or interruption of the tour due to personal reasons, including lateness.

Participants who leave the group midway without authorization will be deemed to have forfeited the service. No refunds will be issued, and any resulting personal injury or property loss shall be the participant’s own responsibility.

Arrival times may vary due to traffic conditions, weather, holidays, or crowd levels. Delays or cancellations caused by the above or other force majeure factors are non-refundable.

During free time, please take care of your personal safety and belongings. Any accidents or losses resulting from failure to follow advice will be the participant’s own responsibility.

Due to the unpredictability of traffic conditions, weather, holidays, and crowd levels on the day of travel, arrival times at each destination may vary. According to Japanese law, the maximum working time for drivers is 10 hours per day. To ensure driver safety and stable operation of the vehicle, the itinerary may be adjusted based on actual circumstances, including reducing the time spent at certain attractions or canceling specific stops. We sincerely ask for your understanding and support regarding any adjustments made in the interest of safety.
In the event of the above or other force majeure circumstances, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please understand that refunds cannot be provided under such circumstances. This policy is in place to prioritize the safety of both drivers and passengers and to ensure the smooth operation of the entire group.
